Josef Buehn () founded the publishing house Kunstverlag Buehn 50 years ago. We specialise in publishing multilingual cultural and commercial portaits of European cities and regions, illustrated with colourful and relevant pictures and printed in a very high quality and representative format. In the beginning the "Golden Book", as it was called at the time, was hand-written by specially trained calligraphers and copied by offset printing. The original was generally presented to the town hall or council of the city or region and exhibited as a guest book in which visitors from all over the world could write their greetings at the end of the editorial section. Eventually the modern design and multilingualism of the books rendered this production method obsolete. We embarked on new paths into the future. Today we not only work in Germany but all over Europe. Our first project on the Asian continent under the title "Bangkok - Portrait of an Innovative Economic and Cultural Region", was published in the year 2008. We are currently producing a commercial documentation of the business venue Singapore presenting all its advantages and special features. With its unique culture, internationality, outstanding tourist attractions, fine cuisine, sports, economy as well as academic and research sectors, Singapore is the most dynamic city of Southeast Asia embodying the best of both East and West. Special emphasis will be put on the presentation of the diversity of the commercial sector. Our books are ideal as a way to draw international attention to the importance of Singapore for Asia and the full World. |
